I'm Hieu Nguyen, an Aerospace Engineering major at UCLA with a passion for fighter jets, rockets, F1 cars, robotics, and renewable energy.

Hieu Nguyen

I'm Hieu Nguyen, an Aerospace Engineering major at UCLA with a passion for fighter jets, rockets, F1 cars, robotics, and renewable energy. My extensive experience spans several aspects of numerical analysis, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using SolidWorks, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) through Ansys Fluent, MATLAB, and COMSOL, and optimization algorithms such as genetic algorithms and convex optimization.

 

In addition to numerical analysis, I am actively involved in the design aspects, utilizing SolidWorks and AutoCAD. I've honed these skills through numerous projects, research laboratories, and internships.

Conduct 2D CFD on airfoil in MATLAB

Software

MATLAB/Created MATLAB code to analyze lift and drag coefficient of 2D incompressible potential flow over NACA 0012 using both source panel and Jacobi finite differences methodology.
